Getting started

  1. Build a track. Tracks → New Track, choose Circuit or Sprint, draw the route on the map and place the start / finish line. Sector lines are optional.
  2. Arm a session. Open the Session tab and tap ARM before you drive. Laps start and stop on their own each time you cross the start / finish line.
  3. Leave the phone alone. Mount it, or use CarPlay or the Live Activity on the Lock Screen. Lap time, delta and speed update without touching anything.
  4. Review. Open any lap for its speed trace, sectors, G-forces and the weather at the time. Compare two laps, or look at the heat map to see where you're quick and where you're slow.

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. Timing, tracks and every lap stay on your phone. An account (Sign in with Apple) is only needed to share a track with other drivers.

Laps aren't being timed

What is the delta?

The time you're ahead of or behind your reference lap at the same point on track. Choose any lap as the reference with "Chase This Lap".

How do shared tracks work?

Social → sign in → Share a Track. You get a 6-letter code; friends enter it under Join Track and everyone's laps appear on that track's leaderboard.

How do I report or block another driver?

On a shared track's leaderboard, tap "…" next to their name and choose Report or Block. Blocked drivers are listed in Settings → Blocked Drivers, where you can unblock them.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, your shared tracks and every lap you uploaded. Tracks and laps stored on your phone are kept.

Drive safely

Laptime is for track days and closed circuits only. Never use it to race on public roads, obey every speed limit, and set it up before you drive.
